Not Mine Not Yours

For the boheme inclined…

Aliferous

Aliferous
The resonance of her screams ebb into flowing silence. She lies naked and completely spent, on her side, the tips of her newborn wings shimmer in the pure sunlight.

Beautiful violence breaks the new morn.

Her breath now relaxing into a gentle rhythm, her consciousness stirs. Her old senses seep slowly to life, re-awakening within her to meet a sharp new awareness. Yet she remains calm and still, although knowing that everything has changed.

Intelligent silence can’t stand the forlorn.

She feels a hot trickle of blood make a line across her back as it races to find the smooth stone beneath her. Her wings twitch ever so slight, still in shock at their rude birth. Tingles race between her shoulder blades & she explores the feel of the abrupt change in her form. Angelic wings forced through a molecular armour, moulding with her existing form and shape as a symbiont.

Elegant substance is lovingly born.

Incredible strength lying just below the surface overflows suddenly. Jerking and lifting her lithe body from the ground in a flutter of feathers she rises, hovering a moment before she lifts her head to face the purest of brilliant white light. Her wings spread wide, and with effortless power she rises toward the light.

Beautiful violence breaks the new morn.
Intelligent silence can’t stand the forlorn.
Elegant substance is lovingly born.

I wrote this verse years ago and recently stumbled across it in an old journal. I tend to have multiple notebooks on the go at any one time and I struggle to throw old ones out. This is why. Sometimes I find a bit of treasure worthy of a share and realise how much I love to write. My intention is to focus on writing more in 2017. Lets see what else I can dig up as I declutter and make space for the new year’s blessings!
